My Music Playlist at Imeem

Admit it, internship can be an boring affair. Sometimes they just let you sit for the whole day doing nothing. Sure Facebook helps. And so does MSN. Still, I miss my music collection.

Thanks to Imeem: Not only I could listen the song I have in my desktop but also tap to one of the largest music library on the internet… free of charge (legally). Just like any web 2.0 project, it is Imeem’s users that actually upload the music to Imeem. Remarkable indeed.

And yes… it is legal as Imeem has made some kind of pact with WMG.

I am incredibly happy to report that we have reached a deal with Warner Music Group that allows us to stream the full length versions of Warner music and video to imeem members in the United States.

While the legality of listening to imeem is not exactly covering members in this little island, I am sure it does not matter so much in this age of internet. At least people like me who are not really included in the deal can have some sort of a piece of mind, knowing that the artist will be paid somehow.

We at IMEEM are doing our best to build a cool website that’s fun for you as well as makes sure artists GET PAID. I hope you guys are all as excited as I am to have this great content up on the site.

As I could get access to many (literally many many many) music files using Imeem, I started this hobby: creating playlist which is super easy since I do not need to upload anything. My playlists contain mostly songs that I love to hear… with few exceptions. My playlist can be found here.

One More Weekend

Call it a ubiquitous ‘Thanks God Its Friday’ syndrome which for me is like ‘Thanks God Its Today’. Indeed God is good. Yet, with one more weekend will pass like a… flash? I could not help but to enjoy it to the fullest – a tinge of happiness away from a windowless office life and crowded MRT which for some reason I could find a seat – not always but often.

My friends Friska, Yanice and Jessica will perform at a garage today and tomorrow. I will watched their great performance for sure after a physio session and meeting my cousin at Lavender.

Ci Steph will come for transit this Saturday. She is currently studying at Queen’s Canada. – giving us who were once part of RIB Indonesians crime syndicate (who are currently in Singapore) another reason to gather. Lunch on Sunday and maybe more.

On separate occasion, one of my last projects I supervise for RIB – RI Boarding Website has finally taken shape. Currently pushing for the formation of boarders editorial team and complete handover to Ariz and Rio. Really thankful for Mr Soon who is very supportive in any way possible. With few more triggers, the pieces will fall into the correct place.

In any case, one of my nifty tool to survive this office life: IMEEM!!!

And yes, imeem is legal.

Oh my… ‘Trust no one – An ode to X Files’

Ele ,one of the X-Philes out there, has compiled a pretty decent list of X-Files related song. Dedicated to his latest victim ‘Karen, who I made obsessed with the show less than 6 months ago and who has seen every single episode more than once by now.‘, the compilation features 16 songs Ele likes the most. She even made the cover for the compilation.

I am just glad Ele realized that she knows ‘there are more songs out there but I selected those 16 songs I like the most. They reach from 90s pop, country, hip hop to punk and rock so I’m sure you at least dislike one song. ‘ I am not even sure if the songs listed are official especially if some of the song has lyrics like this…

“David Duchovny I want you to love me
To kiss and to hug me, debrief and debug me
David Duchovny I know you could love me
I’m sweet and I’m cuddly – I’m gonna kill Scully!”

Or like this
